Saddle up and enter the precon Arena: a big festival or a crime?
I’m quite proud of this post title. Even if it is very “say you’re a dad without saying you’re a dad”.

Beyond “Beyond The Box”: Readers’ comments on Theme Decks.
I’m working on something about Arena Festival decks and didn’t mean to do two “here’s some commentary about an old column” posts in a row. Though this is more about the commenting on the comments on old columns.

Adding my two cents to Abe Sargent’s Precon Top 10 list.
I’ve forced Jay from Ertai’s Lament to submit to my precon superiority… so next in my sights is someone who has abandoned the theme for the singleton: Abe Sargent.

Theme Deck Review Compendium: Invasion “Spectrum”
The first 5 colour precon. Not counting Jakub Slemr’s 1997 World Championship deck, of course. But you know what I was meaning.

Playing Two Headed Giant with Prophecy Precons
This is where I’ll normally put something “funny” or flippant, but I think the post title is enough for this one. Yes, I subjected my children to this.

Theme Deck Review Compendium: Invasion “Heavy Duty”
With a name like Heavy Duty I was expecting a whole lot more BIG art to choose from for the preview. There’s a lot of action, and some quite somber pieces too, but Rampant Elephant was the only piece which really had a good sense of scale imo.

(p)Reconstructed: Fate and Fury and Fate and Fury
Normally the art I use in the post preview is from a card in the deck. Which kinda the case here. But also kinda not.

Theme Deck Review Compendium: Invasion “Dismissal”
Don’t dismiss this deck if you’re interested in old theme decks: I have it myself and it’s a goody.

Tales Starter Project: An Overview (Part 2)
The final six decks: a tweaked version of “Mordor” from the Starter Kit and five others designed to play well with the stock precons and my other custom builds.
